Colorado finished its last home series against the Padres over the weekend dropping two of three games. The Rockies lost four games against the Giants in the previous series. The Rockies tried to recover from an early deficit in their previous game, but the Padres offense was too much. Led by back-to-back homers by Manny Machado and Brandon Drury, the Padres scored five in the eighth inning to easily put the game away winning 13-6.

The Giants won 3-2 with a two-RBI strikeout in the eighth inning. San Francisco has now won six out of its seven previous seven games.
