Warriors’ Jordan Poole Breaks Silence on Draymond Green Incident
“He apologised and we’re going to handle it ourselves that manner,” Poole said to media members on Sunday. “We’re going to play basketball, and everyone in our locker room knows what it takes for us to win a championship. We’re going to do that on the court.
“That’s really all I have to say on the matter,” he continued. “We’re here for championships and to keep hanging banners. Anything in regards to the contract situation, the extension, us winning back-to-back championships, any basketball-related questions–I’m all ears.”
Green returned to the team after stepping away and receiving an undisclosed fine for hitting Poole during practice. After an initial report that the two had been in an altercation, TMZ released a video showing them exchanging words. Green has since publicly apologized for his actions.
It was also believed that Green was jealous of Poole’s potential contract extension , but Green has since put aside that idea .. After Green’s apology, Poole and the Warriors agreed on a four-year extension worth $140 million.
