Tom Brady Makes Thoughts on Eventual Retirement Very Clear

The latest edition of His weekly Let’s Go!Podcast with Jim Gray, sportscasterBrady was asked jokingly whether he would retire and become unretired if Rob Gronkowski, his long-time teammate, decided to retire for a second.
Brady laughed and said, “Well, I think next I decide to retire. That’s it for me.” “So when that day comes, we will figure it out.”
Gray followed up with Brady, asking him if he would seriously consider retiring in the middle of his 23rd NFL Season.
The 45-year old quarterback said, “I really don’t.” “I think that’s what I really understood… is that you have to be really certain to do this.
“And for me, you’ll know, a lot people have kinda gone through this situation. “I’m going to take my sweet time, whenever it comes.”
Brady’s return to Tampa Bay in the year 2022 has not been easy. The Bucs have not been able to match the success of the Super Bowl champ’s previous two seasons, but they are still at the top of the NFC South at 8-8 with two games remaining.
Brady’s 23rd season is not statistically comparable to his great past seasons. Still, he has racked up 4,178 yards passing, 21 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions in 15 games, while completing 66% his passes.
The Buccaneers won overtime over the Cardinals on Christmas Day and will be looking to continue the momentum against the 6-9 Panthers in New Year’s Day.
