Russell Wilson Responds to Eli Manning’s Playful Manningcast Diss

The ManningCast has been one of the most entertaining, easy-going, and sometimes, no holds barred sports shows. On Monday, Eli Manning made a funny remark about Russell Wilson. The quarterback also responded with the same energy.

Wilson is struggling since he joined Broncos. Manning made a comment about Wilson’s contract after a punter made an excellent play during Monday’s match between the Giants & Cowboys.

“They should’ve paid that punter $235 million instead of Russell,” he said.

Wilson signed a five-year extension worth $245 million, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, but has struggled to start his time in Denver. He has only thrown two touchdowns in his three first games with the team. But, on Wednesday, he took aim at the younger Manning brother.

“Come on, Chad Powers? Wilson stated, “I’m 3-0 against Chad Powers.” It’s part and parcel of the game. Those guys are having fun. I have a lot respect for Eli and Peyton. I’ve always looked up to those guys, so I’m not stressed about it.”

When speaking on Chad Powers, Wilson is referring to Manning’s alter ego when he disguised himself as a walk-on quarterback at Penn State for his show, Eli’s Places. Wilson says that he is undefeated against Manning in his career so it seems both he, and his huge payday, won’t be disturbed by the comment.
