Robert Saleh says Aidan Hutchinson can have 10 sacks every NFL season

The Detroit Lions In a Week 15 matchup, the New York Jets (7-6) will take on the 6-7-year-olds in a game that could be the most competitive in the NFL.

Robert Saleh He spoke to reporters Wednesday before Jets practice and shared his initial thoughts about the highly anticipated matchup.

Saleh said that he had done a lot of work with him when he was asked about Detroit’s talented defensive player. “He’s exactly what he was expected to be. He is a tireless worker and a great team player. He has a great skill set. He is doing a great job and is producing this much as a rookie. He still has four games to go. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him reach double-digits (sacks). We felt he was a double digit, and he’d be a perpetual double-digit sack guy. It’s hard to imagine what you would expect from a rookie. He’s been amazing.”

Saleh, a 28-year-old signal-caller, said that Goff was playing as well in the league as any of the top quarterbacks.

Saleh stated that Jared Goff was the number one draft pick and had led a team to the Super Bowl. He’s as good in this game as anyone when he’s back there and is comfortable. He’s playing at a very high standard. He takes care of the football. He’s probably got seven interceptions this year. He delivers. He delivers. He is very accurate with football and a quick decision-maker. He’s very comfortable back there and is playing very, very well.”

Saleh admitted to being a big fan of Barry Sanders, the Lions running back, growing up.

He expressed his appreciation for the chance to meet with the Lions’ management team when he interviewed last offseason for the open head coach position. Saleh stated that he is happy in the current coaching position with the Jets.

Jets’ quarterback situation comes more into focus

Saleh stated that the team is still preparing for this week’s game as if Mike White was the starter.

White was forced to leave the game against the Bills in the second quarter last week. Ed Oliver A vicious hit was imposed.
