Mississippi St. Coach Mike Leach Reportedly in ‘Critical’ Medical Situation
Mike Leach, Mississippi State football coach, is reported to be in a “critical” situation after an emergency. At homeSunday.
Sunday’s statement by the Bulldogs’ athletic department stated that Leach was taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson following a “personal issue at home”.
Mississippi State’s director for public affairs Sid Salter tweeted that the university would not make any other comments at this time other than to send the coach and his family all the best.
Sports IllustratedRoss Dellenger Leach’s medical condition was “critical”, noted Leach., which confirmed a reported from 247SportsRobbie Faulk stated that Leach “needed miracles.”
After hearing about Leach’s condition, several coaches made statements of support for the Mississippi State coach.
As the Bulldogs prepare to face Illinois in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Jan. 2, Zach Arnett, defensive coordinator, will serve as interim head coach.
