Midway Ice Castles

Visit the Midway Ice Castles to be awe-inspiring and inspired. Visitors flock to Midway every January and February to see the frozen creation, glide down solid slides, and take photos on frozen thrones. The Midway Ice Castles is home to hundreds of thousands of icicles spread across an acre (0.41 ha) of open space. Watch the castle come to life under the starry night sky at dusk. After you have arrived, grab a cup of hot cocoa and a warm cookie and then ride along the lights on the horse-drawn sleigh.

The restorative natural waters at the Utah Crater offer relief for tired bodies, tired legs, and jet-lagged visitors. This 10,000-year-old geothermal hotspring is the only warm water scuba certification in lower 48 states. The water temperature is 95 degrees (35°C). Guests can snorkel, swim, and scuba dive in this water. You can even take standup paddleboard yoga classes. A therapeutic soak is the best way to end a day on slopes.

If you are looking to swap downhill skiing for cross-country skiing, this is the place. The original venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games was Soldier Hollow Nordic Center. This vast area offers incredible terrain for Nordic skiing. It also houses a biathlon course and training facility that is open year round. Midway, Utah is a popular destination for athletes from all over the world to practice and perfect their sport. Visitors are welcome to ski the same trails and attempt biathlon while they’re here. Soldier Hollow boasts the longest snow tubing lane in Utah, at over 1,200 feet (366m). The magic carpet pulls riders back up to the top with their tubes for hours of tubing fun.
