Hardy has made the difficult decision to cancel two upcoming concerts in the wake of some health problems. The 33-year-old country musician, whose full name is Michael Wilson Hardy, shared the news in an Instagram post Tuesday.
“I need to be honest with everyone for a second,” Hardy wrote. “I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year, and over the last two weeks it has taken control of my life.”
He continued, “It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks, which have landed me in the hospital. I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family and you, the fans.”

Hardy went on to announce that he would be accordingly canceling a show scheduled for Oct. 5 in Simpsonville, S.C., and another scheduled for Oct. 7 in Brandon, Miss., with refunds available to ticket holders at the point of purchase.
The Georgia Rodeo — a one-day music festival in Athens at which Hardy was slated to perform on Oct. 6 — has also been rescheduled for April 12, 2024, and fans with tickets are being told to hang on to them, as they will be valid for the new date.
“My plan is to be back and focused on Oct. 12,” Hardy concluded his post. “Thank you for understanding, see you soon.”
One year ago, the singer-songwriter shared that his tour bus had been involved in an accident on the way back from a show in Bristol, Tenn. At the time, Hardy revealed that he and three other people were “all treated for significant injuries,” though he didn’t specify the nature of the injuries or provide more details as to what caused the crash.
