Georgia Tech Wide Receiver Kalani Norris Is No Longer With the Team
Georgia Tech’s wide receiver room has become a little smaller today. According to Kelly Quinlan, JacketsOnline.com,
Kalani norris is no more with the team. Norris had been with the Yellow Jackets since 2019. He was unavailable for the last two games, and today it was announced that he was no longer with the team.
Norris had flashed at times during the 2021 season his ability to be a downfield threat. He finished with eight catches for 134 yards and averaged over 16 yards per reception. Norris only had two catches this season for 47 yards, including a 30-yard reception against UCF.
Georgia Tech had a few issues at the wide receiver position in its win against Duke. Malachi Carter was out and Norris was not playing. That meant that guys like Leo Blackburn or Ryan King would need to step in. They made some plays, but still have a lot to improve on their consistency. These guys will be very important in the final half of the season.
Georgia Tech will be on a bye this Saturday. They will be back in action next Thursday against Virginia in Bobby Dodd Stadium. Best of luck to Kalani as he moves forward! Follow us on social media to get the latest news from Georgia Tech Athletics.
