IOWA CITY, Iowa – Filip Rebraca, a senior at the University of Iowa, has been named Big Ten Men’s basketball Player of Week. The Big Ten Conference made the announcement on Monday.
Rebraca (6-foot-9, 230 pounds)
This season, the native of Sombor (Serbia) has been playing at an elite level. Rebraca has set team records in points (20.7) and rebounds (9.3), as well as assists (4.7) and blocks (1.7) over the last three games. He shot a remarkable 80.6 percent (25 of 31) from the field during this span.
Rebraca is the second Hawkeye Hawkeye to win Big Ten weekly honors this year; Kris Murray was named Big Ten Player of the Week Dec. 6.
