Cincinnati Bengals Clinch Playoff Berth Following Jaguars Win Over New York Jets

Cincinnati is currently 10-4 and has won six consecutive games.
CINCINNATI — For the second consecutive season, the Bengals will be in the playoffs.
After Thursday’s win over the Jets, Cincinnati has won six consecutive games and will qualify to play in the postseason.
The Bengals are currently 10-4 and have a one-game lead over the Ravens in AFC North.
Joe Burrow, the Bengals’ quarterback, didn’t know of the possible scenarios that could lead to him securing a playoff spot before Thursday night.
“I wasn’t,” Burrow stated. “The goal is always to win the division title. While it’s great to reach the playoffs, and we can clinch Saturday, that’s not the real goal.
With a win over the Patriots, the Bengals would have clinched their spot in the posteason. Cincinnati doesn’t need to wait until Saturday to secure their spot in the playoffs. They will be returning to the playoffs regardless of what happens in the final three weeks.
Cincinnati is not only first in the AFC North but can also be the top seed if they win their last three games and the Chiefs lose their final three.
Cincinnati plays New England On Christmas Eve. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on CBS. FuboTV is available for viewing.Start your free trial today.
