First up is No. 10 Belinda Bencic takes on No. 2 Paula Badosa from Spain. Bencic had to win in three sets in order to reach the second round, but she won in straight sets in her next two matches.
Badosa won in straight sets in the second round but needed a tiebreaker to win and three sets to beat American Claire Liu yesterday.
In the second quarterfinals, No. Anhelina Kalinina will face 4 Ons Jabeur. Jabeur defeated Irina Camelia Begu 6-3 and 6-2 in the third round, while Kalinina defeated Alize Cornet 7-6 (5), 7-5.
In the final quarterfinal of this session Magda Linette from Poland will face Ekaterina Alexandrova. Linette won 6-3, 6-6, 6-2 after requiring three sets to defeat Kaia Kanepi in round 3.
Alexandrova won the third round, beating No. 3 Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-1.
