76ers: De’Anthony Melton’s Playing Status vs. Raptors on Friday
While the Philadelphia 76ers haven’t had much success so far this year, they have been at least fortunate enough to avoid injuries.
The Sixers’ injury report since their debut against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday has been clear. But that all changed heading into Wednesday’s game against Toronto Raptors HTML1.
As De’Anthony Melton, the backup guard for the Sixers, was on the road to face the Raptors. He’s been suffering from right adductor tightness. Melton was considered questionable for the matchup going into it.
Melton was present at the Wednesday morning shootaround. Keith Pompey of ,The Philadelphia Inquirer stated that Melton was going to Wednesday’s game with the intention of playing, even though he remains questionable.

As expected, Melton was cleared for action after going through pregame warmups. He led the Sixers’ bench in playing time, as he checked in for 21 minutes. Melton had one of his more impressive nights with the Sixers as he went 5-7 from the field, and 2-4 from deep, producing 12 points.
In the Raptors loss, Melton had five assists and three steals. He also got three rebounds and three rebounds.
Despite being in question going into Wednesday’s match, Melton was not on Philadelphia’s injury list ahead of Friday’s Sixers-Raptors game.
Therefore, the veteran guard is cleared for action and on pace to play in Philadelphia’s sixth outing of the season.
