2022 NBA Finals: Marcus’ clever talks with the media ahead of Match 6

The Boston Celtics are used to losing in playoff series. They lost 3-2 to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and then lost 2-1 to Miami Heat in Eastern Conference Finals.

Feeling under pressure and with their backs against the wall at times is definitely worrying. However, the Celtics are confident in their ability to level the NBA Finals at 3-3. This will force a decisive Game 7 against Golden State Warriors.

The team held a practice before their media availability on Wednesday afternoon. The energy in TD Garden was a good indicator of the team’s mentality heading into this game.

Marcus Smart was the first reporter to speak with after the team’s practice. His spirits are high despite the fact that they lost on Thursday, which means no championship for them.

” It’s a wonderful day, man. Smart responded to the team’s mood by saying, “We get to wake up and have another chance to come out here to do what we love to.” It’s not often that people get that chance, so it’s just another day. We are here to practice. We are enjoying each others company, lifting one another up, and making sure everyone is well After losing the first two games of the Finals series, the Celtics may need to get back home and play in front of their electrified fan base.

Stephen Curry put together a great show for the Warriors at their home floor in Game 4. This allowed Golden State to draw even at 2-2. In Game 5, the Warriors swept past the Celtics despite Boston’s excellent defense.

Things look bleak from Boston’s perspective, but the Celtics seem confident in their ability to win another playoff series.

” Any player, any team, will tell you that it is easy to sleep in your own bed. Smart responded to the advantages the Celtics have in Boston by saying “Back to something familiar”. “You can get back to your routine and other things, so those types of things off the court. We all know the things on the court. It’s the things off-court that matter.

“Getting your extra rest that you probably wouldn’t get on the road because you’re uncomfortable, adjusting to the time difference and things like that.”

The Celtics have been outscored by 20 points the last two games of this series against the Warriors and now trailing 3-2, they will have to play with a different level of energy than before.

With the Warriors already showing that they can win in Boston, anything can happen in the NBA Finals. The Celtics will have to be more focused on their defensive-end and take advantage of the smaller team.

Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals is set to take place on Thursday, June 16 at 9: 00 p.m. ET. ABC. The Celtics are currently 4-point favorites and the over/under for the game is currently set at 210 points, according to FanDuel.com.
